Whiz Kids Unplugged is the Winton Woods Middle School Tutoring outreach ministry in partnership between: - Our Lady of the Rosary
- Forest Chapel United Methodist Church
- Kemper Road Christian Church
- Green Hills Presbyterian
- Dayspring Church of God
- Messiah Lutheran Church
These congregations will focus on reaching out to these students and families by offering tutoring to the middle school students. Please call the Church office if you are interested in helping in any way. You are encouraged to attend training if you would like to know more about this program and how you can be involved. You should be involved in both trainings if you are interested in helping tutor. Training will be provided by Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati, Feb 9th 10am-noon, Feb 11 7pm-9pm, Feb 13 10am-12noon. Whiz Kids mentoring training will be after late service Feb 21st from noon-1:30pm. Please register through Colleen Anderson

The event is an opportunity to our young people in Jr. and Sr. High ministry to do their part to battle world hunger. They will do this through fasting and raising money for world vision. 30 Hour Famine is an event designed to show youth how to live and share Jesus with our world. During the fast they will also serve by assembling school kits for Operation Iraqi Children. Please support our youth by praying and donating to this service project. You can see any of our youth as well as Steve Wilson for more information. Students will fast on Feb 26-27. We will be assembling school kits on Feb 27th at 9am in the fellowship hall if you are interested in helping. |
